The selective serivice was a bill passed by congress to increase the size of Americas millitary to fight the World War 1.
The act required all men 21 to 30 to register for the draft, after words a lottery would randomly determine the order. After selections from the lottery the names would go to a commity of the community to decide which of them would be the best and most capable for war.
